User Data Deletion Policy

In accordance with Meta (Facebook) Platform Terms and privacy regulations, DeshConnect respects your right to control your personal data. This policy outlines how you can request the deletion of data associated with your Facebook login or DeshConnect account, what information will be deleted, and our retention guidelines.

1. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your personal data using any of the following methods:

A Via Facebook App & Website Settings

  1. Log in to your Facebook account and go to Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  2. Select Apps and Websites in the left sidebar.
  3. Find and select DeshConnect.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. Optionally, click View Removed Apps and Websites and select Send Request to trigger Facebook's Data Deletion Callback.

B Via Direct Email Request

Send an email to our support team at voucher@deshconnect.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

Please include your full name, registered email address, and Facebook User ID (if applicable).

2. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following information will be permanently removed from our active systems:

  • Meta/Facebook User ID, profile picture URL, and social auth tokens
  • Account profile details (Name, Email, Phone number, Saved addresses)
  • Stored notification preferences and session history
  • In-app support tickets and communications history

3. Data Retained for Legal Compliance

Please note that financial transaction records, voucher issuance histories, and anti-money laundering (AML) audit logs will be retained for up to 7 years as mandated by Bangladesh Bank regulatory rules and applicable financial laws. Retained data cannot be used for marketing or profiling.

4. Processing Timeframe

Deletion requests are acknowledged within 24 hours and fulfilled within 48 to 72 business hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been purged.
